Seismo-electric effect is a main factor for causing the anomalies of seismic electro-magmetic phenomena. In this paper the seismo-electric effect is introduced firstly. Then the observation, experimentation and theory study for seismo-electric effect phenomena are summarized respectively. At last the research and application foreground of seismo-eiectric effect in earthquake observation and prediction are disscussed.
