This Paper is based on data of surveys of the strong earthquakes occur-ring in China in the Last ten years or more and some observational results.We analysed and discussed ordinal characteristics of common animal unu-sual behavior prior to earthquakes.
The results are as follows:
1.Although amount of events of animal abnormal behavior before ear-thquakes reaches their dimax within the day,the precursory time (△T_c⁰) from distinct emerging animal unusual behavior to occurring of earth-quakes is distinctly diffierent;According to it,we found ordinal charac-teristics of them:△T⁰CⅠ→△T⁰CⅡ→△T⁰CⅢ→occurring of earthquakes,there △T⁰CⅠ,△T⁰CⅡ and △T⁰CⅢ are the mean precursory time of snakes,mou-ses and fishes,birds and dogs,and domestic animals respectively.
2.Ordinal characteristics of animal unusual behavior before earthquakes are in close relationship with their ecoenvironment and sensibility which sense some geophysical chimecal predictiye stimulus in the environment of their living.
3.Ordinal characteristics of animal unusual behavior before earthqua-kes are important marks to judge relation between events of animal abnormal behavior and earthquakes.
