In this study, an inversion of the inelastic attenuation in the Taiwan region and the site response of 12 stations are investigated. We used 92 seismic waveform data recorded at 16 stations in the Taiwan area, linked up to the Fujian seismic network, The inversion results indicate that the inelastic attenuation is Q(f)=271.6f0.381. The low frequency part of the site response is~1 and the high frequency part decreases quickly. This study can help improve calculation accuracy while deriving source parameters of earthquakes in the Taiwan Strait; this enriches the data service of the Fujian seismic network. It has some reference significance for correcting earthquake magnitude, selecting and evaluating station sites, and assessing earthquake engineering and disasters.
