Observation data of gas N₂ dissolved in spring water in Wuquanshan from 1983 to 1995 were processed mathematically.It is found that the gas had anomaly before several moderate-strong earthquakes along the east segment of the Mt. Qilian structure zone.In this paper,the mechanism of the anomaly is discussed preliminarily.
