    Abstract:

    Based on the field investigation of the damage of civil structure buildings caused by Yangbi MS6.4 earthquake in Yunnan Province, the reinforcement performance and damage characteristics of civil structure houses in the earthquake-stricken areas were analyzed.The analysis results showed that the damage of civil structure houses can be reduced after seismic reinforcement.Through the comparative analysis of damage characteristics of similar earthquakes, analysis of reinforced and unreinforced structures, and the strong motion records, it can be concluded that the seismic reinforcement of civil structure buildings can reduce the macro intensity by 1-2 degrees.Furthermore, the effects of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction of seismic strengthening on civil structures were evaluated, and some suggestions on seismic strengthening and intensity evaluation were put forward.
